We’re putting on a show to remember…but it can’t happen without you! SF Station and BAMM.tv are currently looking for San Francisco Bay Area bands to perform at The Lineup, our very first local band showcase on Thursday November 10th.
Homegrown: Kelly McFarling
One night every week bars around the world host open mics. These are events in which songwriters–first-timers and veterans–come together, draw names out of a hat (determining the order of performers) and play a tune or two for each other.
Homegrown: The Shants
A band is an entity unto itself. Individual. It is more than its members, their histories, and even their creative DNA. Although Skip Allums is from Louisiana, his band The Shants (Oakland, CA) was born right here in Northern California. Homegrown, and the number of us all too eager to claim them as our own is multiplying.

It’s inevitable, great bands go unheard amidst the digital noise. Technology has done nothing but exacerbate this. This weekly blog, featuring some of our favorite local artists, is an attempt to combat that digital noise.
