OK, there’s no use burying the lede: Clap Your Hands Say Yeah have written a fantastic Killers record. The 12 tracks on Hysterical are a blur, with nothing to grasp onto and little to find memorable.

A very humbled Justin Vernon, known to us as Bon Iver (pronounced bohn eevair; French for “good winter”) dazzled a sold out crowd at Berkeley’s Greek Theater last night. “We are very lucky,” Vernon told the crowd as he tried to explain the magnitude of this night to his fans.

As far as debuts albums go, Thundercat’s Golden Age of the Apocalypse is a mind bending piece of work. Following in the form of the Brainfeeder crew, the album showcases layers of instruments on top of one another in an effort to recreate a genre-bending orchestra with jazz and 70s soul elements.
