Free Show Alert: Z-Trip and Switch

MySpace might not be 100% back, but it’s looking pretty promising as they are gearing up for their new launch by throwing free shows around the nation featuring a myriad of superstar DJs. This Thursday, November 1, San Francisco gets a special live performance from pioneer producer/DJ Z-Trip and the elusive producer/DJ Switch, formerly of Major Lazer at Mighty.

Not much introduction needs to be said for Z-Trip. Performing at huge festivals from Coachella to the Red Bull Voodoo Festival, he is easily known as one of the best live DJs in the world.He is also known as the “Godfather of Mash-ups.” Check out a recent video of him working the turntables earlier this year.

Opening for Z-Trip will be producer Switch, owner of the Dubsided label and best known for his work with M.I.A. He hasn’t been around S.F. for awhile, so this will be a good chance to catch him showcasing some of his new tunes. Here’s a recent track he did with Erol Alkan. Huge.
