Talk Music with Goapele

Uniqlo talks music is the first of many exciting panels to come from The Uniqlo Pop-Up Experience. This week’s guests feature R&B vocalist Goapele, Stacy Horne from Noise Pop and Treasure Island Music Festival, Chris Smith of OM Records, and Aaron Axelsen of Live 105.

Goapele just recently released her latest album Break of Dawn. Rolling Stone says, “This spiritual love child of Sade and D’Angelo mixes sweet soul vocals, jazz funk instrumentation and hip hop rhythms by underground Bay Area beatmasters. Goapele can kick it in the streets as in the lounge.”
Her third album employs the sensual smoky voice we’re familiar with, yet really pushes her boundaries, with her taking advice from R&B royalty Prince.

The event takes place from 6pm-9pm, and you can rsvp here. The event is the first of several engaging panels at The UNIQLO Pop-Up Experience (117 Post Street, SF) celebrating San Francisco’s diverse culture. Each panel is centered on the theme of “Making Life A Little Bit Better.”
