This Friday May 25th, Mighty welcomes New York City-based hip hop record producer and emcee Large Professor. This legendary figure is credited with accomplishments such as making beats for Eric B. and Rakim during his high school years and discovering Nas.

You might know him from his early hits such as “Just Hangin’ Out,” with K-Cut and Sir Scratch from Toronto.

In 1996, he went on to have a solo career and made an album called 1st Class, which featured appearances by Nas, Busta Rhymes, and Q-Tip. Since then, he’s released instrumental albums and has kept busy by a vast array of production work.

Local DJs include Shortkut and Oakland Fader DJs Platurn and Enki. This event is all 45s all night, and also features free BBQ all night. What better than a day party during the night to some fantastic old school hip-hop beats?

Tickets are currently only $10. Doors at 9pm, and party ends at 2am.
