SFMOMA Welcomes Chromeo for Post-Modern Ball

Art and dance music collide at SFMOMA on Wednesday, April 25, at the Post-Modern Ball with Canadian beat makers Chromeo headlining the party in the museum’s atrium.

The night starts with the 2012 Modern Ball, a fundraising event for SFMOMA featuring a seated dinner and cocktails ($500 to $5,000) and three venues within the museum space. The cost gets more manageable at with the Post-Modern Ball, 9pm to Midnight with DJ Vin Sol, DJ Hubert Keller (a name familiar to patrons of Fleur de Lys), Poolside, DJ CAMS and Chromeo working the decks.

It’s $100 to $150 to get in, but the unique venue, noshables, drinks from Patron and the opportunity to see Chromeo with just a few hundred other people should make it a night to remember.

At a similar event, SFMOMA’s 75th Anniversary Party in 2010, Brazilian Girls frontwoman Didi Gutman spent more time singing in the crowd, crawling around on the atrium stairs and pouring champaign for fans than performing on stage with the rest of the band.
