San Francisco has always been a town with a lot of energy, and lately its been the energy from groups of organized young individuals working together to imprint their style on the culture.
The young men over at Our House Records are doing just that. They’ve come a long way in the last twelve months, while they’ve been developing the talents and sounds of their own artists Realboy and Nite PPL; who have made huge strides in their own right, playing opening sets for TEED, Dada Life, and Kill The Noise, respectively in 2011.
Our House records has worked hard recruiting producer/DJ talent and bringing them to San Francisco. Last year, without any major or financial making, they were able to bring SebastiAn, Felix Cartel, and Le Castle Vania. They’re starting 2012 off on the right foot with the world famous indie house crew LBCK (Long Beach City Kids).
LBCK is made up of Alex Noble and Luigi III, two disco-inspired DJs from Long Beach. After the release of their 2010 debut EP ‘START‘ they have picked up some acclaim, having the video accompanying the release picked up by MTV France, as well as subsequent European and South American tours.
Their sound of nu-disco stems from a broad range of influences from Cassius and Daft Punk to Michael Jackson and Chic. Gaining the respect and praise of some of the biggest EDM artists in the world, from Treasure Fingers, Classixx, Steve Aoki and Them Jeans, the two continued to deliver on the hype with their sophomore EP ‘Instant Party‘ that has done nothing but exceed expectations.
After finding a residency with Into The AM and shows all over the West Coast, the duo continues to define a retro disco dance floor sound infused with a heavy modern punch that should be heralded in a class all it’s own.
LBCK, Realboy, and Niteppl headline Temple SF this Friday night. The event is free with an RSVP here
