One of San Francisco’s most promising bands sign to Brooklyn label Mexican Summer.
The Fresh & Onlys have signed to Brooklyn record label Mexican Summer whose giant roster includes the likes of Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti, Panda Bear, Toro Y Moi and many more.
The group has been gaining widespread popularity over the past few years within and outside of the Bay Area. In 2010 they released their critically acclaimed album Play It Strange which Pitchfork named its #29 album of the year.
After releasing a new EP in 2011 titled Secret Walls and performing multiple headlining tours, the band is now readying a new album that will see light in 2012. They’re currently recording the new record at Lucky Cat Studios in San Francisco with producer and engineer Phil Manley who has previously worked with acts like Wooden Shjips and Les Savy Fav.
The Fresh & Onlys will perform a New Years Eve show at the Brick & Mortar Music Hall with White Fence. They have also announced some February headlining dates with support from Disappears can be viewed below.
