Video: Youth Lagoon, “July”

Boise, ID’s Youth Lagoon (chosen moniker of 22-year-old Trevor Powers) kick off a string of November US tour dates on Tuesday night at Bottom of the Hill.

The band recorded “July” from their Fat Possum Records debut album The Year of Hibernation for a Pitchfork Tunnelvision studio session.

Powers holds down double duty on synth and Rhodes piano while guitarist Logan Hynde chimes out on his Fender Jaguar. This is a beautiful, subdued song. Check it out below.
