Kreayshawn Hits the Big Stage

After a short tour of small clubs in major U.S. markets, a gig hosting the red carpet at MTV’s Video Music Awards and a nude-photo scandal, Oakland viral-rap phenom Kreayshawn is upping her swag with some high-profile shows.

She makes her festival debut in Philadelphia this month at the Popped! Music Festival, getting decent lineup placement on a bill headlined by Pretty Lights, Girl Talk and Foster the People. After that, she heads down to New Orleans in October for the Voodoo Experience festival, on the same bill with Snoop Dogg, Social Distortion and X.

To finish the year, she’s back in SF for a New Year’s Eve throwdown at The Regency Ballroom—a venue much larger than her two other concerts her at Slim’s and SOM. Tickets for that show go on sale tomorrow at 10am.
