Baltimore Invasion!

Posted by Ellen Lovelidge on Sep 14, 2011 | Comments (0)

For the next two nights, 103 Harriet plays host to two of Baltimore’s most energetic and adored artists – indie rapper Spank Rock hits the stage tonight while James Nasty will be heating up the dancefloor on Thursday.

Spank Rock has been a Baltimore staple for years after first wooing audiences along with Amanda Blank and the crowd favorite “Bump.” This month he releases a new album minus the female rapper but with stellar production from electro crew Boys Noize and music master Mark Ronson – a different sound than old favorites but always great music.

A Baltimore Club music king, James Nasty (pictured above) slays dancefloors with heavy beats and gritty productions. Baltimore Club music is a genre of it’s own and James showcases the legendary sound while adding new, fresh elements to songs.
