A mix of soul, funk, and hip hop, artist Aloe Blacc delivers powerful messages while keeping the dancefloor alive. He’s currently touring the country, just on the verge of US mainstream success.

LA’s Stones Throw Records holds a unique lineup of artists including Mayer Hawthorne and Dam-Funk who showcase an array of modern music with strong influences from past decades. Another Stones Throw artist, hip hop MC turned singer and songwriter Aloe Blacc presents upbeat, catchy tunes telling stories of his journey through life.

The first single off Aloe Blacc’s latest sophomore album Good Thing, “I Need a Dollar” kept heads bouncing when commissioned as the intro song to hit HBO show How to Make it in America. Charting throughout Europe and recently booming in the UK, the song is a sure hit that is on track to reach the US charts any time now.
